Misericordia Mission

To provide a continuum of care and support for children and adults of all faiths and cultures with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide the highest quality of care to meet each person’s changing needs and maximize his/her independence, self-determination, interpersonal relationships, and engagement in the community. The mission extends beyond the residents as we offer peace of mind to families. Through Catholic values and traditions, we strive to be a diverse and inclusive community of acceptance, respect, dignity, spirituality, and quality of life for us all.

How will my donation be used?

Heart of Mercy Ball donations and Angel Appeal contributions will benefit the Misericordia Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, formed in 2021 to exclusively support Misericordia Home and help sustain its future. This includes an exciting new 3-acre residential development on Thome Avenue, just south of Misericordia’s main campus. This development, named Sister Rosemary Park, will be crucial in fulfilling Sister Rosemary’s desire to reach out to families on Misericordia’s wait list. Read more about Misericordia Foundation HERE.

Will I receive a receipt for my tax records?

If you donate, the Misericordia Women’s Board will send you an acknowledgment for your tax records. The Misericordia Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN) 23-7285834 

Can I donate through a Donor Advised Fund?

Can I make a Heart of Mercy Ball donation?

Yes, donations are being accepted. You may click here to donate online or mail your donation to Diann Sheridan, Misericordia Women’s Board, 69 Abbottsford Road, Winnetka, IL 60093. 

What is the dress/attire for the Heart of Mercy Ball?

Evening cocktail or formal attire is suggested. Black tie is invited.

Which entrance should I use when I arrive at the Hilton Chicago?

The Hilton Chicago is located at 720 S. Michigan Avenue. Valet parking for Heart of Mercy Ball is located off E. Balbo Street via the entrance on the east side of the Hilton Chicago. If you are arriving by taxi, ride-share, or via private car service, please use the Michigan Avenue entry or the vehicle Porte entrance off Balbo Street.

Is there a room block available at the Hilton Chicago?

There is a limited block of rooms being held for Saturday, October 21. The rate is $185 per/night. Check-in time is 3:00pm. Call to reserve your room:  877-865-5320

How can I bid on silent auction items at the event?

Mobile bidding on cell phones through iBid will be used at the Heart of Mercy Ball. Please be sure you are registered and bring your fully-charged cell phone.
